The pictures and videos we see are pretty much from the same angle. Using your tripod can give you unusual and different types of shots. In this shot, I am trying to demonstrate how to get the shot. Granted the footage is not a block buster, however, hopefully you can see how the shot was set up. This mini-tripod was strapped to the monorail overhead handrail pole. I used the forward facing camera, since there was plenty of light. In the second half of the video you will see the result of looking into the cell phone camera.
The advantage of this set up is you don’t need a flat service to set up a tripod. A strap is going to be more secure than the flexible grip-around tripod. You can use the cell phone or your camera to get the shots.
