On the bus ride, I spied a foreign object. Let’s learn about it. When I held the instrument, it felt as light as an empty box. He carries this small hexagonal accordian-like instrument everywhere he goes. (I used to always carry balloons around with me because you never know when you might be inspired to entertain people.)

Chinese Tea Ceremony

Have you seen a tea ceremony? Well, Vital Tea does tea tastings. We got to see fun aspects of the tea toys.

I am not sure that this little boy is part of the tea ceremony, but it is highly entertaining.

Chinese are into their zodiac signs. Notice you have a tiger, horse and pig in front of you. When you pour hot tea over these objects watch to see what happens.

Just add water and what do you get? These flowers were manually woven together to make a lovely display.

Christmas doggies – Great way to make money

On Christmas Eve, this was the best eye candy. These dogs look sophisticated and wise just like Santa. The streets were bustling with shoppers in downtown Seattle. However, these little doggies stopped traffic.

It’s pretty simple. Give yourself ten shots to get comfortable with getting yourself in the frame. When you are well practiced, then we can do a shoot off. Yes, the whole showy routine.

Look for your timer button and practice using it. Once have mastered that, you area ready.
Attach your camera to the device. Wait to tighten.
Bend the ball joint, then screw on the camera snugly – not snuggee, that’s a white elephant gift.
Bend the camera lens towards you.
Extend the stick
Turn the camera on and set the timer.
Press the shutter.
Magic!

Brilliant, Waste Management. Good job! When I went to San Diego and toured Petco Park I saw these machines. This is the deal: Every fifth container deposited receives a reward coupon. Here’s a list of the different types of coupons:

Borrow a bike for free and drive on the velodrome

If you haven’t been to Marymoor Park take a week to play all of the sports and explore this park in Redmond. You can play soccer, volleyball, baseball, fly kites, climb walls, get married, watch birds, just to name of few. But what is unique about Marymoor Park is the Velodrome.

VELODROME

Marymoor Park is home to the state’s only velodrome, a 400-meter track dedicated to bicycle racing. Operated by the Marymoor Velodrome Association, this top-notch facility hosts programs from riders of all levels, including youth classes, the popular Friday Night Racing series, and even national racing championships.

Darn, so you don’t have a bike, not a problem. Borrow a bike for free, thanks to Dasani Blue Bikes. Beside the velodrome, which I have yet to try, are bike lockers.

Harbor Seals in the Northwest

How do these big critters move around? How do they balance on an angle and not roll off the log into the water? I do think they are pudgy cute, curious beings with deep smokey eye shadow. These fellas chill at Everett Marina in Everett, Washington. I watched them play around for a good twenty minutes. They don’t seem taxed by having to flop around with a oblong body, since they never had legs. Good attitudes, seals.

My flight was delayed, so I had a couple of hours to kill. If only I had a place to plant by an outlet and set up my little office. Voila! I could plug in my computer, phone and turn on TED to make use of my time while facebooking about my travels and google voice texting.

If I had a bunch of paper, which I try not to do, I could have spread them across the desk, what a luxury. Thanks, San Francisco

Life Stages of the Monarch Butterfly

Have you seen the pupa, caterpillar and butterflies all at the same time? Well… you can see these creatures outside of the Botanical Garden. So cute. One of the pupas was even attached to the planter, not a plant. I didn’t know that was legal.

Watching the little buggers eat is pretty interesting. They have two pairs of antennas, one on their head and one are their rear end.

They eat milk weed, which is poisonous to us.
